New Intern at NeighborLink!

I’m excited to introduce you to our new intern for the next couple of months at NeighborLink. Her name is Chelsea and she’s a junior Educational Ministries major at Huntington University.

Chelsea will be leading a research project for us. We have a desire to be the connecting organization between churches and projects as well as churches to churches with passions to serve their neighborhoods.

The goal of the research project will be to identify and document the geographic location of existing churches in Fort Wayne so we can begin seeing where churches are plotted in relation to our projects. We believe that if a local church knew of people needing assistance in close proximity, they might choose to help.

A secondary goal is going to be the awareness that NeighborLink exists by contacting many of these churches.

Chelsea has already jumped into the Southwest Quadrant, which she’ll focus on, and has begun documenting her findings.

I can’t wait to see what we find out and how we can use it to raise awareness for those in need in our community.

I believe that social innovation & the power of a healthy neighborhood can transform communities. I'm the husband of Michelle, father to Avery and the soon to be twin Hoffman Boys. We're the H-Train. We live in a historic neighborhood in South Central Fort Wayne. My day job is the Executive Director of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Photography has quickly become my go to creative outlet that allows me to capture the moments of life that we hold onto dearly for my family and for others.
