Impromptu Hope City Trip

Some of you may know by now that Hope City (Fort Wayne & NE area churches 3 year committment to Hurricane Katrina relief) came to an end this fall right around Thanksgiving time.

The Brenneman family that has been running the camp for the past year or more are finishing up their time there as well. There isn’t much left of the camp right now, but the Brennemans are still working.

I was asked mid-week to come along on probably the last organized trip to help with finishing a few final projects so the Brennemans could head back to IN for a few weeks over the holidays.

So, I will be leaving this Sunday with 4 other guys for a week of projects.

It’s kinda crazy time with the holidays and my own house torn up and lots of projects to do, but I feel the need to go down and help out so a family can enjoy the holidays back at home with family. I won’t lie, the 70 degree weather is a bit enticing as well.

I’ll be working from the road, so if you need anything you can always email or call. May not be immediate response, but pretty close.

Have a great week next week and I hope to be blogging from the road w/photos.
