Positive

I’m goingto attempt to make a positive post this time. Seems like I’ve been making quite a few depressing posts about the things that I face and the people I know are needing help. They still do, but I need to reflect on what positive is happening around me to get out of the funk I seem to be in.

I like lists, so list format it is…

1. Jeff Shatto - Friend of mine..FMCer..model of servant leadership. I need Jeff’s sense of compassion towards the world and his ability to dive into anything with a positive attitude no matter what really is going on in the situation

2. Bigger Projects - God has intervened every time here recently with the right people, the right course of action, and the resources needed to get things done. It’s been an extremely stretching time due to my feelings of “if I can’t do it myself, I don’t want to take it on because if no one helps me it’s my deal." NOT True.. People want to help.. I just have to find them

3. Meetings - I have had a lot of great meetings lately with church/volunteer leaders that share the same visions for serving as I do. In these meetings I have been able to share the ultimate vision & heart behind NLFW and how a spirit of collaboration is essential to complete anything

4. My Wife - Talk about a person that makes me better everyday despite my issues. It’s the comfort and the space of vulnerability around her that makes things right.

5. NLFW Volunteers - You get more done than you get credit for or that I even know. Project come in and go out without anyone ever knowing except you and your crew that completed the project. If this is you.. THANK YOU! You are making the difference that I strive to communicate about.

6. Local Leaders - These are the skilled/professional people that submit to my solicitation for helping me understand what needs to be done most days for the projects we try to step into.

In the midst of all that is wrong and stagnant, change is being made. Not global change or even big city change, but change that is one person at a time change. The recipients life is blessed and the person serving is changed.

Blessings to you all this Holiday Weekend!
