NeighborLink Recipient Needs Masonry Help

I need your help. Actually, an Ethiopian woman needs your help. You can see why in this picture.

Fitsum is a very hard working, pleasant woman from Ethiopia who’s been in the US for 8 years or so now. She’s been working hard trying to make her dreams of opening a day care a reality. She’s actually extremely close to doing so. She recently purchased a home, gone through all the testing and licensing procedures, and already working on getting clients.

She’s been working extremely hard with the skills and resources she has to getting this older home ready. Recently, she discovered that the previous owners covered up a major structural issue and hid 100’s of tires under a deck they build around the issue. As you can see above. You could make all kinds of judgments around whether or not she should have seen this issue or the building inspector when she purchased the home, but not everything goes to plan when buying a home. Agreed?

Fitsum needs our help getting this hole in her foundation closed up. A concrete block wall needs to be built in that opening to securely close the opening and make sure that addition is properly secured from underneath. Then, the hole needs filled up.

Help me find someone that has the skills to assess the situation and fix this wall.

She has until Oct 10th to get this fixed. Her home is currently condemned because of this and she has limited time in order to show progress on the work and get the daycare up and going. If she doesn’t, it will cost her more money she doesn’t have to go through the licensing process again.

Contact me if you can help.
