Meet The Funders

I attend an event this morning called, Meet The Funders. It was put on by the Paul Clarke Non-Profit Resource Center located within the library.

It provides a chance for local, Allen County, non-profits to meet the local funding source foundations. The morning started off with a forum in which they dialogued about the common questions they receive and more about who they are and what they fund. From there, the rest of the morning was spent at round table “speed dating" type sessions. For 12-minute sessions you had the opportunity to ask questions of the funders.

It was a good event to go to as I attempt to seek grant money to accomplish projects. Being from the marketing world, I’m on a steep learning curve on how non-profits survive or thrive. I walked away with a lot of good information that will help me steer clear of some things and a few things to go after.
