I had the great honor of being one of the several breakout session presenters yesterday at the Region IV Governor’s Conference on Service and Volunteerism put on by the Indiana Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives

I led a presentation and a discussion on how to prepare your agency for youth, short-term and project based volunteers based on my experiences as ED of NeighborLink. Preparing your agency for these types of situations is crucial to ensure a successful experience both the volunteer and for you.

If you’re not focused and prepared the experience can easily turn into a train wreck.

Take a look at the presentation, leave your thoughts and let me know if I can answer any questions.

Thank you to the office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives for the opportunity to share my experiences with others.
