Ginghamsburg = Success

It was great having the Ginghamsburg middle school youth group and their leaders with me the past two days as we checked off a few NeighborLink projects. Any youth pastors and leaders who agree to take energetic middle schoolers on a trip win an award from me. The kids did great

We were able to rake some leaves for Carla who has been in a wheelchair since age 10 due to polio. We were able to do some paint prep on a house for James and his wife. Finally, we were able to work in the NeighborLink/Williams Woodland Park neighborhood community garden and get it ready for the spring planting season.

These students did lots of other projects as well for other organizations in Fort Wayne including the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, Community Harvest Food Bank, In As Much Ministries, FW Parks Dept and a few other residential projects.

I most appreciate their willingness to jump right in to the project with enthusiasm. It’s going to be a busy year and every bit of encouragement counts. Thank you for Chris and the rest of the team for joining me as we serve Fort Wayne with practical neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God’s love.

Enjoy the pictures below of the students in action on NL projects.

I believe that social innovation & the power of a healthy neighborhood can transform communities. I'm the husband of Michelle, father to Avery and the soon to be twin Hoffman Boys. We're the H-Train. We live in a historic neighborhood in South Central Fort Wayne. My day job is the Executive Director of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Photography has quickly become my go to creative outlet that allows me to capture the moments of life that we hold onto dearly for my family and for others.
