Don Miller Blog » The Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives

This is a good blog post by Donald Miller, author of Blue Like Jazz and other great books. I think this dialogue on the first item on why should the government be involved in helping people is a really great one.

"I tend to see people as people and don’t really differentiate between the government and anybody else. If the government can help, why not. They are people and we are people. It’s not like they are robots. As for whether or not the work should be done by the church, it isn’t, so somebody has to do it."

Please read the article. I think it’s one that needs read, especially if you’re a church going individual.

We must incorporate tangible acts of our faith if we want to even associate with a Kingdom focused life. If we don’t, we’re just a bunch of well-intentioned ideas.
