CCDA

Last October, I had the opportunity to travel to St Louis with some great people to the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) annual conference. I had briefly heard about the organization before then, but not really that well. I was eager to go for a reason to get out of Fort Wayne and mainly to see what other people were activily involved in back in their communities.

Once there, I quickly realized that this organization and the people running this organization have been influencing the converstations that I had been involved in in the past couple of years with my cirle of influence.

CCDA believes that the way to making our communities better is through building indigenous leadership from within those communities through Christ. To give everything you have from within a neighborhood.

Please check out CCDA Philosphy on their site. Community development is at the core of our hearts at NLFW. These principles fuel our passion to make NLFW more than just an organization that helps raise awareness to the needs.

If you are a podcast kind of person looking for quality stuff, check out John Perkins Podcast. John Perkins in a founding father in CCDA and is an amazing source or inspiration. Just listening to him empowers you to do more. He’s also written many books on community development.
