As many of you know, I’ll be doing a cross country bike ride the first week in August called the Race for Congo. It’s an effort to continue the partnership between Fellowship Missionary Church and World Relief in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which has been going on for almost 6 years now.

This video was produced by FMC this past week and helps tell the story. You can read more about why I’m doing this trip by reading my earlier post, Turning 30 and Riding Across the County to Celebrate

This race is an effort to multiple the $200,000+ that was raised this past Christmas Eve at FMC for the new Peace Building initiative in DRCongo they’ve helped establish since the first of the year.

Each rider is trying to raise $2 a mile which should put us at $43,000 dollars for the ride and will be matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000. We have the ability to raise over $100,000 if we can get enough support.

Learn more about each of the riders, the campaign, and make a donation at the official website.
