As I mentioned last week, we were fortunate to receive three recording spots from StoryCorp while they are in Fort Wayne. On Saturday, we recorded two of the three spots and I got to do one of them. It was a lot of fun and a wonderful time talking to one of my faithful volunteers, Steve B.

Steve is constantly learning and an inspiration to me. He spends so much time each week motivating others to volunteers, volunteering himself and spending time getting to know who he’s serving. He illustrates our philosophy of relationships over projects and recognizes that getting to know who he’s serving helps him better understand how to serve.

I hope you enjoy listening to my interview with him. We spoke a lot about how he first connected to NeighborLink, what motivates him to serve, the people he’s served and why it can be difficult to serve in our own backyards.

The audio is approximately 45 minutes.

I’d love for you to leave any thoughts or comments on the post if you have any.
