Hirschy Family

October 2012 - Hirschy Family - Fort Wayne, IN

Sometimes things just go wrong. I went back and forth with this family about the weather on this particular day about ten times before we decided we'd take the chance and meet at Foster Park. Our decision to go for it couldn't have been a better one. The weather was absolutely beautiful, the leaves were just right, we found the perfect location at the park, and the sun was shining through the trees perfectly. It was one of those moments where you couldn't have asked for a better scenario. It was all great until I locked my camera and keys in my car two minutes before they arrived. My wife wasn't answering her phone and I ended up having to borrow their car to run back to my house 2 miles away. By the time I got home, got my keys, and then returned, our weather window changed and it began to pour down rain. I felt terrible.

We thought about going to their house and taking photos inside and then decided we'd just try again on another date. As I pulled away from their house, the sun came back out and it looked like we had another window for photos but by now the park was going to be soaking wet and probably a muddy mess. I called them up and they were willing to do some photos in their neighborhood on the sidewalks.

As you can see, the light was great and the photos still turned out great. The Hirschy's are a wonderful family and seem to have a lot of fun together. They're kids were great, smiley and were very sweet. Anytime you get to grab handfulls of wet leaves and throw them up in the air is a good time.

Thank you guys for the generous support for the twins and for being willing to be impromptu. I'm still bummed I caused us to miss the golden moment at the park.
