Winter Training Series - Advanced Coach Training

On Saturday January 23rd, Ed Messer of Messer Builders led a session on a variety of topics as it relates to taking on some of our more challenging NeighborLink projects. We discussed quite a bit about building codes and were blown away by the fact that just about everything other than flooring projects and painting projects technically require a permit.

Given the fact that the majority of projects that our volunteers take on are exterior yard work projects, cleaning and painting projects, we’re not too worried about what this means for our future and whether or not our volunteers or homeowners have to pull a permit for everything. We can continue looking at things on a project to project basis.

Ed will be leading this session again this Saturday, March 13th in case you missed it and want to learn more.

Meet at the Rialto Theatre at 2614 S Calhoun St, 46807.

Please RSVP to andrew@nlfw.org if you’d like to come. If don’t have 5 or more RSVPs by noon on Friday, we’ll postpone the session.
