We would like to welcome our newest member, NeighborLink Dekalb County to the NeighborLink Network. They are now the 3rd NeighborLink in Indiana. NDC was formally Steps of Care located in Auburn, IN. Steps of Care was a fairly new organization when it first heard of NeighborLink. After a few conversations, we both realized that our missions are essentially the same and NeighborLink had all the technology and history that Steps of Care was desiring to have. After a number of conversations, Steps of Care desided that it was best to become a NeighborLink.

We now have a NeighborLink Fort Wayne and Dekalb County, which is going to allow a lot of social service agencies who service both counties have an outlet for projects they aren’t able to assist.

At NLFW, we’ve been recieving more and more projects in the East Allen County area and have received a number of requests for volunteers in the Auburn area, so we’re really excited to have a NeighborLink in that area.

If you would like to consider what starting a NeighborLink would consist of, please contact us.
