Update! - Charis House is Moving on May 8th - Volunteers Needed

This project is postponed at the moment due to the building not being done quite yet. I will put a new post up on the blog as soon as I find out when the next date is. It should only be a week or two.

On Saturday May 8th, NeighborLink volunteers along with lots of other people will be helping Charis House move into their new facility.

This is going to require lots and lots of people in order to get this done. We’d love to have 30+ volunteers throughout the day.

There will be light stuff, heavy stuff, some disassembling and reassembling and lots of tired volunteers by the end of the day.

The Charis House is a division of the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission and provides shelter to women and children who are facing homelessness or are fleeing abusive relationships. It’s a tremendous ministry and one that could use all the help it can get.

My friend Tom McDaniel is heading up this project and is going to be the contact person. You can contact him by email at tntmcd @ msn.com

or you can contact me and I can connect you.

Please consider helping even if it’s only for a few hours and pass this along to any service groups or clubs you know that are looking for meaningful service opportunities.
