Tutorial Video Series - Pilot

Video is being a vital part to nonprofit communication strategies, especially for us small guys. This is primarily due to the story telling potential and it’s inviting nature. I’ve been on a mission over the past 6-8 months to figure out how to integrate more video into the NeighborLink and NL Network strategy.

I’m working on three different video series or angles in order to see what makes the most sense for us to invest time and resources in.

One of those approaches is to develop a tutorial series that outlines some of the more complex concepts or components of our mission that are better spoken than written. Our goal with each video is to capture one idea/topic in a 1-3 minute video in order to not over complicate a video and allow the viewer to pick the topic that is most relevant to them.

We started simple with a “What Is NeighborLink?" video.

Format, style and other items may change in this series as we produce the videos, but you can at least get the idea of where we’re headed. We’re open for ideas for video topics and format.

HUGE thanks to Huntington University student and NeighborLink intern, Ryan Schnurr, for running point on this project.

I believe that social innovation & the power of a healthy neighborhood can transform communities. I'm the husband of Michelle, father to Avery and the soon to be twin Hoffman Boys. We're the H-Train. We live in a historic neighborhood in South Central Fort Wayne. My day job is the Executive Director of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Photography has quickly become my go to creative outlet that allows me to capture the moments of life that we hold onto dearly for my family and for others.
