Thoughts Needed: Starting vs. Joining

I’ve seen something happen over the past few years at NeighborLink and within many other community initiatives I participate in that I’m interested in getting some feedback on in order to understand better.

Does it seem to you that organizations, nonprofits, community groups, churches, people, etc. working for community change or development like to recreate or start similar initiatives to existing ones?

I’m interested in getting feedback on if you’ve seen this, think this is true or not, and maybe some causes for it.

I’m looking for views on either side of the conversation. Is it good? Is it bad?

Share your thoughts in the comments or send an email

I’ll write a follow up post with some of the collective thoughts.

I believe that social innovation & the power of a healthy neighborhood can transform communities. I'm the husband of Michelle, father to Avery and the soon to be twin Hoffman Boys. We're the H-Train. We live in a historic neighborhood in South Central Fort Wayne. My day job is the Executive Director of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Photography has quickly become my go to creative outlet that allows me to capture the moments of life that we hold onto dearly for my family and for others.
