Spring Break, NeighborLink Style

I was really excited when I got the call a couple weeks ago from Good Shepherd United Methodist Church here in Fort Wayne stating that they’re staying local this spring break and they want to do NeighborLink project.

Today, I had breakfast with the team before they set out for the day. It’s a small team of committed volunteers that are determined to serve in the name of the Lord here in Fort Wayne and help out as many folks as they can doing yard work, painting and whatever else they can take on.

This is going to be a great week for them and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds. I’m sure there will be bumps and challenges along the way. I also know that it will give them new perspective on the city in which they choose to live.

Real people, real names, real projects, real neighbors.
