Section 8 Waiting List To Open for 15 Days in October After Being Closed for 2 Years

If you’ve every thought that housing and homelessness is not an issue in Fort Wayne, think again. It’s such an issue that the Fort Wayne Housing Authority hasn’t had an open enrollment/application process for 2 years due to the high demand and waiting list of the last open period. 

Below is information directly from FWHA and instructions on what to do. 

Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8)

Applications are being accepted

October 12-27, 2010

You can obtain an application from our website at www.fwha.org or the

HCV office at 7315 Hanna Street

beginning October 12th.

Applications must be mailed to the

address on the application.

 Applications cannot be dropped off

at any FWHA facility.
