Reinventing America’s Cities - The Time Is Now - NYTimes.com

This is a really great article giving a lot of background on some of the social decay of our neighborhoods and communities.

Believe it or not, Fort Wayne is still affected by this as well. We have communities that have been bypassed and forgotten because of this fact.

A bigger purpose of why NL exists to begin changing some of these issues. It’s our responsibility to engage in the change that makes wrong things right. It’s as simple as driving through these areas to being as complex as moving into one of these neighborhoods.

We need to be having these conversations.

I believe that social innovation & the power of a healthy neighborhood can transform communities. I'm the husband of Michelle, father to Avery and the soon to be twin Hoffman Boys. We're the H-Train. We live in a historic neighborhood in South Central Fort Wayne. My day job is the Executive Director of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Photography has quickly become my go to creative outlet that allows me to capture the moments of life that we hold onto dearly for my family and for others.
