NeighborLink Snow Removal Planning - Feedback Appreciated

Yesterday’s snow was a fresh reminder that another winter in NE Indiana is upon us. If you recall at the beginning of 2011, we had a major snow that shut a lot of things down for a couple of days. After receiving over 100 phone calls for snow removal help in a 2-3 day time span, it challenged me to re-evaluate how NeighborLink approaches snow removal.

After reflecting on our challenges last year, we’ve got a few ideas we need your feedback on. Communication and top-of-mind awareness seemed to be the issue last year when talking with volunteers who mentioned that they would have liked to help if they would have remembered us or got the messages sooner.

We want to be able to help as many people as we can and we want to make sure you know of these urgent type projects as fast as you can. So, I’m asking you to participate in this quick, 5-question, survey on snow removal projects and communication strategies. Questions like who wants to know, how you want to know, and what can we do different this year.

Your feedback ultimately drives the technological advances we make at NeighborLink and whether or not people with urgent snow removal needs get the help they need.

Thank you for taking the time to do the survey. I’ll be back in touch as soon as I get your feedback.
