NeighborLink Here To Help

Yesterday, the City of Fort Wayne opened up their 311 phone lines and wallets to help around 100 citizens with home repairs ranging from exterior improvements to mechanical needs such as plumbing or electrical repairs.

The City designated $700,000 to perform these repairs, which will help 90-100 homeowners in their estimation. You can read the full article by visiting this link. Within 2 hours, they had filled their designated slots for the program. This is a generous gesture by the City to help in this way, but unfortunately they can’t do everything.

At NeighborLink, we believe everyone has a role to play in helping neighbors in need and we don’t like seeing people turned away. So, we’re working with the City to be an outlet for those not able to receive assistance. By doing so, we can know who in our community needs help and we can consider what we have to offer.

For those that need help, we will be happy to post any and all projects on our website. We are unable to guarantee assistance, but we can help you communicate your needs to over 800 registered members on our website and allow them to consider helping with the repairs if they can.

Our mission is practical, neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God’s love and desire to help do what we can to help out our neighbors.

Please visit our website, www.NeighborLinkFortWayne.org or call 260.710.7611 if you need help.
