My Aha Moment

Mutual of Omaha is traveling the country in a vintage Airstream trailer, much like StoryCorp does. It’s a brand awareness campaign for them, but it’s a really neat initiative that allows anyone to have a portion of their “story" captured on video. Mutual of Omaha posts the videos online and creates buzz around the whole things.

The significant part of this for those that participate is that it allows them to share that moment in their lives where things got significant for them. It’s that time in their life that they most sensed their purpose on earth. Regardless of what that is, this gives them another chance to connect to it.

For me it was when I knew that small intentional acts of generosity and kindness could transform lives and in turn neighborhoods and then entire communities.

Thank you to Mutual of Omaha and the crew that runs this day to day. You were great, friendly, and very professional. I image that hearing all of the aha moments of people’s lives is pretty incredible.

I believe that social innovation & the power of a healthy neighborhood can transform communities. I'm the husband of Michelle, father to Avery and the soon to be twin Hoffman Boys. We're the H-Train. We live in a historic neighborhood in South Central Fort Wayne. My day job is the Executive Director of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Photography has quickly become my go to creative outlet that allows me to capture the moments of life that we hold onto dearly for my family and for others.
