Many of you may have served with or at least read about the SHAREHOUSE. The Sharehouse is a durable goods distribution house that distributes goods donated by the WalMarts of the world that are not sellable at their stores anymore. Think food bank for durable and household items.
They role is to receive those goods, sort through them and then distribute to social service agencies for a shared handling fee of 19 cents a pound who then distribute to their clients or use it for their organizations.
I have been directing volunteers here for awhile. If you’ve served at SHAREHOUSE on behalf of NeighborLink, thank you! By doing so, you allow us to take advantage of the service and box loads of things like this for 19cents a pound.
Yesterday I was able to get a variety of screws, nuts, bolts, a space heater, a light bar for a bathroom, and other stuff. All of it is available for NL projects.
