Intential Act of Kindness Day Strikes Again - July 18th

Back in April on the 18th, the NeighborLink Network was mobilized to take on the task of removing as much limb & yard debris for Fort Wayne’s elderly and disabled population. Over 500 of you took the challenge and removed over 8 tons of limbs and debris.

On Saturday, July 18th, we’ll mobilize again.

You can’t miss the tall grass and the City of Fort Wayne’s Code Enforcement office’s “Weed Ordinance" signs in the yards of homes throughout our neighborhoods.

Who’s crazy enough to take on the challenge? NeighborLink Volunteers are.

We care about our neighborhoods, how they look, and most importantly, taking care of those who cannot physically take care of their own yards. This is our opportunity to make a huge, visual impact on our city to let everyone know that there are people who care.

Action Steps

This is a grassroots movement just like the last one. It’s designed for you to mobilize yourself, your family and/or your community groups by looking around your direct neighborhood and finding ways to help your neighbors or neighborhood by tackling the eye-sore projects no one else is willing to do or feels responsible for. You know which projects they are. They might be tall grass or that pile of trash no one wants to deal with.

We will also be working with CODE Enforcement to get a list of yards closer to the date and we’ll post that list so you can help take those projects.

Think in terms of your neighborhood and the quadrant you live in. Do something close to home.

There will also be larger groups who could use extra man power. We’ll post those groups as they become available.

I’m in, Will you join me?
