Hey Everyone! // Blog by Hilary

My name is Hilary Powers.  I am very excited to be joining the NeighborLink team as an intern.  I have a passion for service so this is the right place for me to be! This is my first blog post for the job and I just wanted to tell everyone a little about myself.  I am a junior here at the University of Saint Francis working to get a degree in Communications.  I also play on the women’s soccer team.  I stay busy most of the time, but any chance I get I will be outdoors.  I love sports. I lived in Pittsburgh, PA for seven years, so the Steelers are my team. (Sorry to all you Colt fans!)  I am originally from Jackson, MS.  I moved quite a few times growing up, which has given me my love for people.  I have lived in Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Florida, and Oklahoma.  My plan is to make a difference in the world even if it is by changing just one person!  I am expecting a lot of great things to come from this internship and I know God has me at the right place!  So, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!  Peace.
