Call For Professionals

Below is a recent email that I sent out to our volunteer body of people calling on those that may have special skills to step up and tap into the overwhelming projects. If this is you, please contact me. I need your help… 

Good afternoon friends,

Thank you for your support of NeighborLink Fort Wayne. Whether you have
volunteered, coached one project or coached 20 projects, your services
are always needed and appreciated.

After just two short weeks as being the new Executive Director, I have
been exposed to many requests for help. If you have ever taken the time
to search the list of projects, you have seen projects that look
overwhelming. Projects such as, roofs, windows, plumbing, etc. When it
comes to these types of projects, I myself am out of water. But, I know
there are professional home improvement and contract specialists out
there that consider NLFW a partner.

If you fall in that category, I need your information and to what
capacity you are able to help out. Although we don’t have a huge budget
to take on any project, we believe there is something we can do even if
we can’t necessarily complete the project. We can take the first step by
providing free estimates to give a homeowner an idea of the need in
question. Not only do we give a homeowner an idea, we all have an idea
of how much money is necessary to complete.

We can then provide potential donors exact information about what it’s
going to take to get a project done.

If you can help us out in this manner, please let us know. One step at a
time we will help provide our neighbors the peace their searching for.
