Another Great Service Day

Thank you to the 75+ people that came out today to serve the community of Fort Wayne. Over 20 projects were completed by folks from FMC & friends of NeighborLink. FMC’s middle school pastor had the largest team with close to 25 kids.

Both residents and organizations were served today. Quite a few elderly had teams visit them to do spring yard clean up and cleaning. One team went to the YWCA to help clean up around their offices. One team went to Wings of Hope, which is a woman’s transitional house for woman coming out of the prison system to spread mulch that was donated by Cut Above The Rest Lawn Care (THANKS!!). There were even a few projects that came up last minute and people were flexible enough to step into those projects, which isn’t always the easiest to do when not prepared.

Thanks again to all that served and to FMC for hosting an event. People being served and those serving were blessed.

If you or your church would like to learn more about how to organize service events, give us a call at NeighborLink Fort Wayne.

We were all so busy today, that we forgot to get pictures of the projects and people serving. If you are a photographer and would like to consider spending a few hours on a Saturday morning traveling around the city to various sites snapping photos for us, you’re service in this way is a blessing to us.

Stay tuned for more stories from the weekend….
