4.18 Service Event Report - Christ Church of Georgetown

All of our teams enjoyed a beautiful day in service to others.  Every group completed their projects, at least what they were expected to do..
As you know, some of these projects could go on for days, but the recipients of the efforts all seemed pleased with the results.  Teams worked anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours on their projects.  We had 158 volunteers and completed 16 projects.
Several of the teams had good interaction with the people being served..  One team planned to work from 9:00 to 12:00 on the lawn of an elderly person.  During that time, several neighbors joined them, so some ended up working until 2:00.
We had a team working in our church building making baby quilts for Charis House and others.  They completed or partially completed 25 quilts and decided to meet again next week to complete all of them.
